Two long-distance runners from our area will soon be embarking on a 500-mile run to Washington D.C. with a goal of raising money for an organization called Mission 22, a group committed to reducing incidents of veteran's suicide. Brian Tjersland of Dartmouth and Josh Milich of Rhode Island will start their journey on Veterans Day.  Both will join Jim Phillips this week on Townsquare Sunday to discuss their passion for long-distance running, and why they're involved with Mission 22.

Townsquare Sunday is a weekly public affairs program heard each Sunday morning at 6 on 1420 WBSM.  The program features interviews about the work being done by individuals and organizations, striving to make the Southcoast a better place to live.  If you miss the broadcast, interviews can also be heard on wbsm.com, the WBSM app, and on YouTube at WBSM-TV.

If you have a public event, festival, or neighborhood activity you want to publicize, submit your information here. You can also send an e-mail to Jim Phillips at jim.phillips@townsquaremedia.com.
