The 23rd annual Letter Carriers "Stamp Out Hunger" food drive is being held on Saturday.  United Way Development Associate Victoria Grasela tells WBSM News, getting involved is very easy.

"Just leave the donated items out by your mail box says Grasela, and if you don't have a mail box, leave it on a front porch or wherever your mail gets delivered."

Grasela says your letter carrier will pick up your donations and bring them to the Post Office, where they'll be sorted and picked up by local food pantries. About a dozen food pantries are receiving donations this year, including the United Way's Hunger Commission, which supplies food to smaller food pantries in the area.

Non-perishable food items should be left at your mail box. Organizers are asking that for safety reasons, no glass jars should be donated.
