Teachers Taking “No Confidence” Vote This Week

New Bedford teachers are taking a vote of "no confidence" this week against Superintendent Dr. Pia Durkin.  The vote was disclosed in a memo sent to all members late Saturday

According to the Union's Board of Directors, there was a vote taken Friday afternoon at Keith Middle School, where the vast majority of teachers present expressed no confidence in Dr. Durkin's leadership.

Members of the New Bedford Educators Association who were not present on Friday, can vote Tuesday, and Wednesday, from 8-4 at the union offices at 160 William Street.  Union President Lou St. John will make a formal announcement after that.
