Taunton Woman, Child Hospitalized In Rollover Crash

A rollover crash in Carver leaves a Taunton woman and her eight-year-old child hospitalized.

Carver Police tell NBC10 that at around 3 p.m. Saturday emergency crews responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident near the Wareham town line on Tremont St.

Police say Thomas Cooper of Plymouth was driving a 2005 Chrysler Pacifica north on Tremont St. when it failed to negotiate a curve, crossed over into the opposite lane striking a 2005 Chevy Tahoe head-on which caused the Tahoe to flip over.

The driver of the Tahoe, Theresa Petersen of Taunton, and the 8-year-old in the car were taken to Hasbro Children's Hospital.

Cooper was taken to the Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Plymouth.

Police say none of individuals involved appeared to have life threatening injuries.

The incident is being investigated by the Carver Police Department and the Plymouth County Sheriff's Department Bureau of Criminal Investigation.
