Taunton Sex Offender Admits to Child Porn Possession
TAUNTON — A registered sex offender from Taunton has pleaded guilty to federal child porn possession charges after authorities found hundreds of images and videos on a microSD card he owned.
The U.S. Attorney's Office said 60-year-old Rudy Frabizio admitted to one count of possessing child pornography in federal court on Sept. 23.
Frabizio is registered as a Level 2 sex offender due to an April 2009 conviction for possessing child pornography.
Agents had discovered material depicting child sexual abuse on a microSD card in his home during a May 2021 search, according to the office.
Authorities said the images and videos involved infants or toddlers as well as prepubescent children.
The office said Frabizio also uploaded child porn images to his Google account.
Frabizio was arrested in May 2021 and indicted by a federal grand jury last September.
As a result of his prior conviction, Frabizio will get a minimum mandatory sentence of 10 years in prison.
He faces up to 20 years in prison, five years to a lifetime of supervised release, and a $250,000 fine.
Sentencing is set for Dec. 9.
