TAUNTON — Taunton Mayor Shaunna O'Connell's daughter Riley has gone missing in Ohio, according to a statement released by the mayor on Wednesday afternoon.

O'Connell wrote on her re-election campaign Facebook page Wednesday that Riley O'Connell went missing on Tuesday night from Evoke Wellness, a mental health facility.

Riley had been receiving therapy there for more than a month as part of a "long-term battle with mental health issues," according to the mayor.

A missing person poster for Riley describes her as being 18 years old, 130 pounds and around 5 feet 5 inches tall, with long, red-tipped blonde hair.

She was last seen wearing red shorts, a white tank top, and no shoes, according to the poster — and she may be going by the alias "Tiffany".

Riley is also likely without "vital medication," according to the poster.

O'Connell noted that both she and her husband Ted are "extremely worried" about Riley's safety and well being.

"We are working with the facility, police and missing persons to find her as soon as possible to bring her home," she wrote in the statement.

"My daughter's safety is our priority," O'Connell added, ending with a plea for all to "keep Riley in your thoughts and prayers."

The mayor has postponed an event meant to kick off her re-election campaign.
