A Taunton man has pleaded guilty to stabbing another man during an altercation in October 2017.

According to the District Attorney's Office, 19-year-old Teddy Brady pleaded guilty to aggravated assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, causing serious bodily injury, and was sentenced to serve four to five years in state prison.

Prosecutors say Brady got into an argument with the victim at a Taunton gas station, then followed him home and stabbed him in the chest.

The victim suffered near-fatal injuries and was med-flighted to Boston Medical Center for life-saving treatment. District Attorney Thomas Quinn called the crime "a violent assault motivated by anger that could have cost the victim his life," and said such lawlessness is unacceptable.
