TAUNTON — A Taunton man has been charged with operating under the influence of alcohol after state police said he crashed into a state police cruiser in Taunton on Thursday night.

State police said a trooper sustained minor injuries in the crash, which took place at 10 p.m. on Jan. 20 on Cohannet Street in Taunton.

Other patrols responded after the trooper told the Middleborough barracks over the radio that his cruiser had just been hit by another vehicle.
