This is a very tasty meat sauce that will add the perfect touch to any hot dog!

1 tbsp. butter

1 1/2 lbs. very lean ground beef

2 medium onions chopped

1 clove garlic, crushed

1 tbsp. mustard

1- 6 oz. can tomato sauce

6 oz. water 2 tbsp. chili powder

6 hot dogs (ground)

The trick here is NOT to brown off the ground beef. Instead, combine everything, except the hot dogs, and slow cook over a very low flame until the sauce thickens. Add the ground hot dogs and continue to cook for about 15 minutes. If the sauce is a bit too thin for your liking, you can crumble up a few soda crackers and stir them in to absorb the extra liquid. Your Coney Island Hot Dog Sauce is ready to serve! This sauce freezes well, too, for future wiener roasts! Enjoy!!
