The Fall River Herald News reports that Mayor Correia denied that he planned to resign Wednesday, telling reporters “it’s a rumor,” at a Fall River restaurant.
Candidate Paul Coogan was the clear favorite in the primary with 8,273 votes for 62.3-percent of the unofficial final tally. Correia took home 2,777 votes.
