A New Bedford man with a long criminal history was arrested Wednesday on drug charges and has been ordered held without bail.

Bail was set at $500 for a suspect charged with illegal possession of a firearm, ammunition and possession of nearly 22 grams of marijuana, five grams of cocaine and four grams of crack cocaine.

The date was July 25th, 1936... the last recorded shark fatality in Massachusetts.
