An armed fugitive has opened fire on police officers this morning and has since barricaded himself inside a residence.

A Fairhaven man is in custody after barricading himself in his home off of Sconticut Neck Road Sunday morning.

There will be no charges filed after a 36-year-old Raynham man allegedly barricaded himself inside of a Wareham motel Tuesday morning, claiming to have a weapon and threatening to harm himself.

Wareham Police and neighboring law enforcement agencies are responding to a motel where an occupant has reportedly barricaded himself in a room.
