Runaway Teen From Meadowridge Academy Missing in Swansea

SWANSEA (WBSM) — Swansea Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a missing teenager.

Details of the Disappearance

According to Police Chief Mark Foley, 15-year-old Gabriel Dibari was last seen at 11:39 p.m. on Wednesday, July 30 in the area of Elm Street in Swansea.

Foley said that Dibari was reported as a runaway from Meadowridge Academy, located at 664 Stevens Road in Swansea.

About Meadowridge Academy

According to the Meadowridge website, the facility “offers comprehensive treatment to adolescent males and females with mental health issues, behavioral difficulties and complex trauma histories through the use of individualized care and strengths-based, trauma-informed treatment.”

Dibari is originally from Providence, Rhode Island, and has no known destination, acquaintances or family in the Swansea area.

What Gabriel Dibari Was Last Seen Wearing

He was last seen wearing a dark navy blue hoodie, black shorts and black Crocs. He is described as white, about four-foot-nine and 96 pounds with hazel eyes and light brown hair.

Foley said Dibari is “not known to possess a cell phone or credit cards/money.”
