The Superhero Walk & 5K Race returns to the beautiful Fort Taber and runs along the picturesque coastline.

On Sunday, September 22, Meeting Street will be hosting its annual Superhero Walk & 5K Race. The event will take place at the Fort Taber Community Center to help raise funds to help children with special educational and developmental needs.

Check-in will take place at the Fort Taber Community Center from 7:30 - 8:45 a.m. Welcoming remarks will be at 9 a.m. sharp. The race will officially kick-off at 9:15 a.m., starting with runners and walkers will follow.

Entry for the race is free for walkers, but runners will have to pay $25 until Sunday, September 1. After that, it's a $30 entry fee leading up to race day.

Walkers will go around the perimeter of Fort Taber while runners will following the USATF certified 5K course through the local community. Click HERE for the map.

An award ceremony will take place at 10:30 a.m., with categories being Overall Winner, Top Female, Top Male, Top Teen, Top Fundraiser, and Team with Largest Number of Walkers. Light refreshments will be provided to all race participants, with water stations being setup up along the 5K course route.

This is a terrific cause for The Schwartz Center in Dartmouth They are doing wonderful things for the kids there, and it's great to see them responding to the personalized treatments that Meeting Street is able to offer them so close to home!
