New Bedford High School will be the scene of a graduation ceremony on Thursday.

Twenty-six students who, for whatever reason failed to attain enough credits to graduate back in June, attended classes this summer to qualify for their diplomas.

Supt. Dr. Pia Durkin is proud of the graduates.....

The summer program is new this year in New Bedford. In many other districts, students who don't attain the needed credits to graduate, normally because of illness or family situations, generally have to repeat their senior year.

The graduation ceremony is scheduled for 6pm at New Bedford High School.
