Straus: Some Southcoast Rail Contracts To Be Awarded In 2014

The Co-Chairman of the Legislature's Transportation Committee says he expects contracts will be awarded for work connected to the Southcoast Rail Project.

State Rep. William Straus of Mattapoisett says among those contracts will likely be one for a new bridge over Route 18 in New Bedford and others....

Straus adds though, the key factor in the future of the rail project will be state voters electing a governor that supports extending commuter rail to New Bedford and Fall River.
