Stewart Says Fatal Crash Was “100 Percent” Accident
NASCAR driver Tony Stewart says he knows in his heart that last month's crash that left fellow driver Kevin Ward Jr. dead was 100 percent an accident.
Stewart added this morning that he wants to be available to Ward's family if they want to talk about the accident.
During a Sprint Car Race in New York state, Stewart's car hit Ward as he was walking on the track.
The 20-year-old Ward was pronounced dead on arrival at a local hospital. Last week, a grand jury decided not to file criminal charges against Stewart. (Metro Networks Inc.)
