CARVER — A woman reported missing out of Carver while potentially suffering a mental health crisis on Tuesday was found safe after state police spotted her from an air wing helicopter.

State police said the helicopter responded to Carver on Tuesday morning to help search for the missing woman.

The flight crew took to the air and searched a wooded area bordering several bogs following a request from Carver police.

At 11:42 a.m. Tuesday, members of the flight crew saw the woman come out of a boggy area and walk onto Purchase Street, according to state police.

They directed local police and emergency medical services to the woman's location to make sure she was okay and provide help if necessary.

The woman was not identified.
