SouthCoast Thrift Store Running Sale Event to Benefit Community

Parting Ways Consignment is a nonprofit thrift store located at 3 Wells Road in Marion.

The store is holding an amazing season-end sale event with proceeds helping the local community. Senior citizens volunteer their time to run the store. Lori Sylvia is the Accountant at Parting Ways Consignment, Inc. She told us about the event and how it will help the SouthCoast.

"We are running a huge event offering half-off most items in our store. The proceeds will go to our general fund that is used to help people in our local community in need. This event will run from now until February 22. We will also be having popup sales during this event offering even greater savings on certain items. Super excited to be open and able to move forward again!"

Parting Ways Consignment doesn't only recycle lightly used items. "We recycle the kindness our volunteers, consignors, and shoppers show us every day with their continued support. We recycle that kindness right back in our community, it's a circle. It's been a very difficult year for us, as for many, but we know our community will continue to support us, and for that, we are truly grateful."

“We believe no one should go without life's basics, no one should be cold or hungry, no one should ever feel forgotten. With our amazing volunteers, we sell lightly used clothing, accessories, and household items with the goal of helping others. Through the continued support of our shoppers and consignors, we are supporting area children and their families, homeless shelters, the Marion Police Brotherhood who distributes toys to area children, The Salvation Army, and Big Brothers and Big Sisters.
