The 100th day of school has always been something to celebrate. It's the marker that we are well over the halfway point in the school year and that there are only 80 days left.

As kids, we took advantage of the fact that the 100th day of school always fell sometime around Valentine's Day and glued 100 candy hearts to a piece of paper in the shape of a bigger heart. Or made necklaces out of 100 painted noodles to give to our friends for the occasion.

The celebrations have grown since those days. The trend for the last few years has been for kids at the elementary school level to dress up as if they themselves were 100 years old. It always brings a smile to my face to see the photos blow up my Facebook newsfeed. The kids and their families get so creative. It's even funnier when the kiddos channel their own avos when it comes to costume and makeup. This week, we asked our listeners to share their 100th day of school photos with us and we cannot stop giggling over these pictures.

We received 26 photos submitted to us, but we'd be happy to share more as they come in. Feel free to send the best picture of your kid dressed up or celebrating the 100th day of school in some way.
