The insurance agencies awarded the organization as part of their annual Make More Happen Awards.
“We are only able to do what we do in the community with the support of generous donors like them, who share our commitment to children in our region and beyond," Fearons said. "We work with a lot of great people and companies, but the extent to which Lapointe Insurance has embraced and supported our mission is unmatched.”

What Are the Make More Happen Awards?
Each year, nonprofit organizations are recognized by the insurance agencies involved (Liberty Mutual and Safeco Insurance) with a donation up to $10,000.
The awards "recognize independent agents who demonstrate extraordinary community service."
Communities can vote to double the donation made for their favorite foundation, like Friends of Jack.

These awards are nationwide and highlight a variety of nonprofits that work to combat hunger, help foster children, youth mentor programs, clothing donations, senior care and more.
Where Does the Money Go?
As the recipients of the $10,000 Make More Happen Award, Friends of Jack is able to provide vital care and services to families in need.
The funds will allow for a pair of part-time child life specialists at St. Luke’s Hospital who will provide emotional support for young patients.
Their Superhero Bear program will also be able to continue and bring smiles to children on the SouthCoast.
