Somerset Police are putting out the call for any information about a teenage boy who apparently ran away from home this afternoon.
According to a Facebook post by the police, 14-year-old Max Pasternak has been missing since about 3:30 p.m. today “after leaving a note for his parents that he was ‘leaving home.’”
“We are concerned for Max’s wellbeing and are asking that anyone who may have seen Max or may have information about his whereabouts to please contact the Somerset Police Department by dialing 911 or calling (508) 679-2138,” police wrote.
His last known location was the Elm Street area of Somerset.
He is described as being five-foot-nine, approximately 230 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes. Police said he is most likely dressed in a t-shirt and shorts; the color of the shirt is unknown, and the shorts are possibly red. He may also be carrying a small green backpack, police said.
