SOMERSET (WBSM) — An alleged robbery and police chase occurred in Somerset, and officials are asking the public for help identifying one of the suspects involved.

The incident happened Wednesday evening at the Home Depot in Somerset. According to Somerset Police, Loss Prevention attempted to detain and identify the suspect but he fled the scene.

He was then picked up by another male who was driving a small U-Haul truck. Officers said they attempted to stop the U-Haul as it continued on Brightman Street in Fall River, where it was later abandoned.

The shoplifter has been identified, but their identity has not been released.

Police are asking for the public's help in identifying the male driver. A large cross tattoo has been identified on the man's right ankle.
