The Pentagon says a paratrooper killed in Afghanistan this week was from Massachusetts.
The Department of Defense announced Friday that Spc. Brian Arsenault, of Northborough, Massachusetts, died Thursday in Ghazni, Afghanistan, of injuries sustained when his unit was engaged by enemy small-arms fire.
The 28-year-old Arsenault was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 504th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, based at Fort Bragg, North Carolina.
