SNL 40 Trumps NBA All Star Game In Sunday Night Ratings
The NBA All-Star Game took a back seat in the television ratings to Saturday Night Live's 40th Anniversary Special on Sunday night.
ESPN reports TNT and TBS received a 5.5 household rating in 56 markets monitored by Nielsen.
The SNL special garnered a 14.2 rating on NBC, which is the network's most watched prime-time entertainment telecast, in total viewers, since May 13th, 2004.
Despite being beat out by the special, the All-Star Game still beat out the metered ratings for six of the last 10 games. The West beat the East 163-158 in the highest scoring game in the events history. (Metro Networks Inc.)
