Have you taken a good look at your cable bill lately? I can figure out how much something costs but in this instance, they make it so confusing, with all the bundling, that it's difficult to know how much everything is. And the cable companies love it that way. It's no wonder the American Customer Satisfaction Index says cable TV is one of the most despised industries in the nation. And do you think these cable companies really care? Haggling for hours may or may not get you any satisfaction.

The idea of simplifying cable TV pricing has been a concern presented before the Federal Trade Commission. But so far, it's all smoke and mirrors! I've always liked the idea of a la carte channel pricing. Pick and choose only the channels you want. Sounds good, right? No, because the cable companies insist that someone has to pay to keep those other networks going, and that someone is me and you. So, since they could care less about us, it's time to start looking at getting programming from Netflix streaming and Hulu Plus. I know it's not a perfect answer, but watching my cable bill doesn't add up, either!
