Shots Fired In New Bedford

New Bedford Police are investigating after gun shots were fired early Sunday morning.

Detective Captain Steven Vicente says a Shotspotter detected four gunshots around 3 a.m. detected four near 115 Bullard Street.

Officers found two shell casings behind the house and police believe someone was firing a handgun into the air. There are no reports of damage or injuries. Anyone with information is asked to call the Detective Division at 508-991-6300 ext. 320
