Dartmouth Middle School will be hosting an active shooter drill Thursday morning.
The drill will take place from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. and will simulate an armed intruder on school property.

The drill will test recently installed communications technology from Mutualink that establishes a direct link to police, fire, EMS and other agencies, according to a press release.

Similar drills have been conducted in Warwick, R.I. and Hartford, Conn.Dartmouth is the first school district in the Commonwealth to install the Mutualink system.
