An officer observed Tallo fleeing the area on foot and then chased after him. Tallo was eventually located in the yard of a nearby residence, where police held him at gunpoint while he was allegedly still armed, holding the knife in his hand.

Police said Tallo was taken into custody and the stolen property from the liquor store was recovered at the scene of the arrest.

Tallo was charged with armed robbery and assault and battery offenses. He was also charged with threatening to commit crime, malicious destruction of property and resisting arrest.

He was arraigned in Taunton District Court today.
