Seeking Death Penalty Appears Set In Boston Bombing Trial

Federal prosecutors have given no indication they're willing to make a deal with Boston Marathon bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev.

Jury selection in the case is already underway with testimony expected to start later this month. Tsarnaev could face the death penalty if convicted.

A former Justice Department prosecutor who worked on the Oklahoma City bombing case says he sees no reason for the government to take the death penalty off the table.

Prosecutors have cited factors including a ``lack of remorse'' and the evident premeditation involved in the attack as reason to seek the death penalty.

One of Tsarnaev's lawyers has brokered deals on other high-profile cases, including those against Unabomber Ted Kaczynski, Olympic Park bomber Eric Rudolph and Jared Loughner, who killed six people and wounded former U.S. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords.
