The jury that found Dzhokhar Tsarnaev guilty of the Boston Marathon bombing will begin the penalty phase of the trial on April 21st.

A federal judge set the date today, noting that Tsarnaev's defense team had asked for additional time to resolve "logistical issues" with potential witnesses.

Tsarnaev was convicted Wednesday on all 30 counts in the attack and 17 of them carry the death penalty.

It will be up to the jury to decide if he should be executed or goes to prison for life. The panel will begin that process one day after the 2015 Boston Marathon.
