"Out of all the reindeer's you know you're the mastermind - run, run Rudolph - Santa ain't too far behind!" I took a little artistic license to change a word from Chuck Berry's classic Christmas rocker to bring attention to one of the most colorful events in New Bedford this season. Join the many who plan on kicking off the 2015 Christmas celebration with the New Bedford SANTA RUN on Saturday, December 12 at 1 pm.

A new flat course in downtown New Bedford promises to be a lot of fun. Imagine seeing a thousand Santa's, all dressed in the traditional red and white jolly ole suit, hat and white beard! Your registration includes this official suit, any size! And you'll absolutely love the official Santa 5 K Fun Run/Walk medallion for all finishers, that can be used as a Christmas Tree ornament! Go to the website to see the medallion and register at www.nbsantarun.com. There will be an Elves Run starting at 12:30 pm for ages 14 and under. CHIP timing has been added this year for the runner's running records. Bring the family and meet us at the starting line at MacArthur Drive and Union Street on Saturday, December 12th. Nationally recognized radio White House Bureau Chief and WBSM contributor, Ellen Ratner, plans on participating in this years New Bedford Santa 5 K Fun Run/Walk! Join her and all of us for a really great time with 2 time Boston Marathon winner, Geoff Smith, organizer of this great event!
