
Rochester Crash Requires Jaws of Life to Rescue Driver
ROCHESTER (WBSM) — First responders in Rochester had to use the Jaws of Life to rescue a driver who crashed into a tree Monday.
According to the Rochester Fire Department, a 911 call came in at about 1:15 p.m. on February 24 for a car that had crashed into a tree in the 1100 block of Walnut Plain Road.
The driver was still trapped inside the vehicle.

First responders arrived at the scene and had to use the Jaws of Life extraction tool to remove the driver from the vehicle.
The fire department noted that the driver was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
They were transported to St. Luke’s Hospital in New Bedford with injuries that were reportedly not life-threatening.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation by Rochester Police.
