Expect some delays this week on Route 6 near the New Bedford-Fairhaven Bridge.

Erin Lopes, the Water Registrar for the City of New Bedford, told WBSM News the west side of the bridge, the side heading into Fairhaven, will be closed Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday night.

The closures will begin at 7 p.m. and last until 7 a.m.

Those coming from New Bedford will be re-directed to Rte. 18 and I-195.

Those coming from Fairhaven will need to go towards Howland and Coggeshall Streets.

The estimated completion date for the paving is May 26th.

Officials say the closures are being put in place so crews can complete milling and paving work on the roadway.
