'Revenge porn' will turn a photo of you, fully clothed, and crop your head onto the nude body of someone else and then post it on the internet with your full name, address and any personal information! A Utah mother, Melissa Esplin, was shocked, when men from around the world, began emailing her invitations to have sex!

When Ms. Esplin contacted the revenge porn website to take down her photo immediately, laughingly, she was told to pay $400 or it would stay put forever. To me, this is a form of extortion.

I checked, after the Massachusetts Legislature quickly passed the 'upskirting' photo law amendment, and Massachusetts does not have a law criminalizing 'revenge porn.' Utah just passed the law. Georgia, Tennessee and Florida are working on it, as are other states. In January, 2014, Israel became the first country to classify revenge porn as a sex crime.

Compared to 'upskirting,' revenge porn can damage a person's reputation, family life and business. Please call your state representative or senator and insist they start looking into criminalizing this pernicious act.
