While the Boston Celtics lost out on the Paul George sweepstakes, as the former Pacer was shipped to Oklahoma City Friday night, it doesn't appear to be due to a lack of trying.

Multiple reports have circulated since the trade, claiming that the C's and the Cleveland Cavaliers both had better deals on the table to try and take George off of Indiana's hands.

The C's reportedly offered, both at the deadline and on draft night, to ship two starters and three first round picks to the Pacers in return for George.

Instead, the Pacers decided to deal the sought after soon-to-be free agent to the Thunder, inexchange for Victor Oladipo and Domantas Sabonis.

So, while Trader Danny didn't come away with his top target, it doesn't seem to be entirely his fault.
