First reported by The Vertical's Chris Mannix, it appears that the C's might be looking to put together a blockbuster-type package to send to New Orleans for Davis.

The news came on the heels of the announcement of a trade between Boston and the Philadelphia 76ers, which included the Sixers getting the number one overall pick in Thursday's draft and the C's receiving two first round picks.

While the Pelicans have seemingly no urge to move the proven star, Boston's bevy of future picks, along with a handful of young, moveable players, may be able to pry Davis from the Big Easy.

If the C's and GM Danny Ainge are able to work some sort of magic and snag Davis, two things are certain; They'll be giving up a haul to get him, but they will have a 24-year-old, double-double machine under contract and ready to build around for years to come.
