Racist Tweets Flood Twitter After the First Indian-American Crowned Miss America

Twitter is still buzzing with racist tweets after Miss New York was crowned Miss America in Atlantic City last night.

Nina Davuluri is the first Indian-American to wear the crown in the pageant's history. Tweets like "Miss America right now or Miss Al Qaeda?" and "Miss America? You mean Miss 7-11" blasted the social media site.  There were, of course, many other tweets in support of the judges decision.

Davuluri, an aspiring doctor who lives near Syracuse, says some of her plans include helping to clean up the Seaside Heights boardwalk damaged by fire last week.
