Public Meeting Thursday to Update Residents on SouthCoast Rail
DARTMOUTH - The Massachusetts Department of Transportation is holding a public meeting Thursday, updating area residents on the recent changes to the SouthCoast Rail Project.
MassDOT filed a notice of project change last month, opting for a diesel route to New Bedford and Fall River through Middleboro rather than Stoughton.
The meeting will provide details on Phase 1, which will establish the Middleboro/Lakeville route.
The meeting is being held at the University of Massachusetts School of Law on the second floor at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.
The public comment period on the project ends April 21.
