First Look Inside Providence’s Epic Level99 and Night Shift Kitchen & Tap

For much of 2023, owners of the Level99 entertainment venue in the Natick Mall were working on their second location in Providence. Now the doors are almost ready to open.

The one-of-a-kind challenge-based entertainment venue is ready to take nightlife in Providence to a whole new level with a grand opening planned for January. CEO Matthew DuPlessie said the venue could open as soon as Monday, Jan. 22, 2024.

So, what can visitors to this new Providence Place hotspot expect? We've got exclusive photos from inside the 40,000-square-foot venue with 50 interactive games and challenges to explore.

What Level99 Will Offer

For those unfamiliar with Level99 in Natick, the epic venue features challenge rooms, player-vs.-player arena-style competitions plus scavenger hunts and mazes to keep guests entertained for hours.

Level99 has been a fan favorite inside the Natick Mall location, but with the new Providence Place Mall spot come new challenges and games.

DuPlessie said the new location features a few duplicate games with Natick, a handful of transplanted games from Natick, plus 15 brand-new games exclusive to Providence.

Guests can play all of these games or hone in on their favorites in groups of two to six players.

Each player signs up for either two hours, four hours or a whole day of play, then explores the massive venue at their own pace. You can play any room as often as you'd like and each one can be completed in three minutes or less.

Art, Eating and Drinking at Level99 Providence

Not everyone at Level99 has to play the games, however. The venue features custom artwork from nearly two-dozen local artists and each piece is part of a larger scavenger hunt guests can try to solve.

There's also award-winning food from Night Shift Kitchen & Tap, which is opening its first Providence location.

The backend of Level99 is a huge dining room where guests can sit and eat or grab a bite at the counter and keep on playing (and yes, beverages are allowed inside the games).

Don't forget to scope the view from the dining room. It's unlike anything else you'll see in the city.
