Is it just me, or does society seem to be in a fighting mood these days? Everybody appears on edge, and the slightest provocation can trigger a knock-down, drag-'em-out brawl.

WBSM News reported recently on a fight in the stands at a New Bedford High School football game against Taunton High.

Over the weekend, a brawl between two Maryland high schools, the Gaithersburg Trojans and the Northwest Jaguars, resulted in injuries and the suspension of the football programs at both schools.

How about the recent brawl at Walt Disney World over allegations of line-cutting? Last month, police had to evacuate garages at Orlando's Universal Studios following a fight between juveniles.

School fights. Fast food restaurant fights. Street fights involving bikers in Austin, Texas. Families mix it up at weddings and baby showers.

All of these things find their way to social media. Perhaps that's the link. Could the most violent among us be auditioning for social media audiences? I'll leave that to the shrinks.

The Providence Board of Licenses will revisit a recent brawl at Mi Sueno Musica & Restaurante on Board Street. The video of the fight went viral. The story even got the attention of Tucker Carlson Tonight on Fox News on September 13, 2022.

Video of the Mi Sueno Musica & Restaurante melee shows people pounding on each other, tossing furniture and bottles, and generally destroying the place. When police arrived, the fighting was over, and no one was willing to cooperate with investigators.

Providence television station WJAR 10 reported a Providence man was arrested after police discovered a gun in his fanny pack.

ABC 6 reported Mi Sueno was allowed to reopen for the weekend after agreeing to hire additional security, temporarily use paper or plastic drink cups, and postpone a car show scheduled for the weekend.
