There were protests Friday at Walmart stores around the country....including the Walmart in Dartmouth.

The protesters say they're in support of Walmart employees, and want the retail giant to pay its workers $15-an hour, and give them the opportunity for a full-time schedule.

Demonstrators at the Walmart in Dartmouth were handing out leaflets and speaking with reporters, including WBSM's Jim Phillips, when they were asked to leave the property by store security.....

The protesters say Walmart employees can't support families on $8 or $9 an hour, and Walmart should be sharing its wealth.  The group in Dartmouth included New Bedford City Councilor Dana Rebeiro and a Catholic Priest, Father Marc Fallon.

A Walmart spokeswoman claimed many of the demonstrators don't work for Walmart and don't accurately reflect the views of its employees.
