New Bedford Police Investigating After Person Injured in Shooting
NEW BEDFORD (WBSM) — New Bedford Police are investigating a shooting that took place in the city’s West End earlier today, with one person injured and another in custody.
According to a police social media post, an investigation is underway after a “shooting incident” in the area of Austin Street and County Street.
“We are aware of one victim who has been taken to the hospital and there is one individual detained at this time. A firearm has been recovered,” police reported.
