Port of New Bedford Continues to Grow [TOWNSQUARE SUNDAY]
Edward Anthes Washburn is bullish on the Port of New Bedford.
Despite the pandemic, the port continues to flourish, with more fishing boats from the mid-Atlantic now operating out of the port, more cargo ships delivering goods here, recreational vessels visiting, and increased vessel traffic because of the prospects of offshore wind.
Washburn, the Port Director, joins Townsquare Sunday this week to discuss the port's progress, the challenges it currently faces, and hopes for the future.
Townsquare Sunday is a weekly public affairs program, heard Sunday morning at 6 on 1420 WBSM. The program highlights individuals and organizations working to improve the quality of life in Greater New Bedford.
