Mass. Police To Crack Down On Welfare Fraud

State welfare officials and local police have kicked off a new anti-fraud initiative.

As part of the plan, agents will go undercover and try to use EBT cards improperly at retail establishments. DTA Commissioner Stacey Monahan says the police partnership is essential because the department does not have law enforcement capability.
