Police Officer Suffers Minor Injuries In Fight

New Bedford Police are investigating an incident Monday afternoon where an officer was injured.

A spokesperson for the Police Department says the officer intervened in a fight at Elm and Summer Streets around 2 pm on Monday.

The officer sustained a minor injury and is back on duty. The officer was not identified and further details are not being released.
