Police Investigate South End Robbery

New Bedford Police are investigating an armed robbery Sunday night in the South End.

Det. Captain Steve Vicente tells WBSM News, a dark-skinned male entered the 7-11 store on Cove Road around 11pm and demanded cash.

According to the clerk, the man pulled out a silver handgun and said he wasn't kidding.

The gunman grabbed an undetermined amount of cash, and fled the store, running in a southerly direction. Witnesses said the man was wearing a black coat and mask, and dark hat.
