Please Save Scottie

I'm having a tough time thinking that Scottie the dog from Monopoly may go to that fire hydrant in the sky! Pawtucket based Hasbro is asking the general public to vote on what game pieces they will keep and/or what new pieces will replace the old classics during their Monopoly Token Madness Vote. There are 50 choices fans can pick from at VoteMonopoly.com.

Voting is open between now and January 31. Can you imagine that thimble or wheelbarrow fading away to likes of a winking emoji, a hashtag or a rubber ducky? The results of the voting will be announced this March and in August, the version of the new fan picked game pieces will go on sale. Save your old game sets because they may be worth something someday. In the meantime, please, keep Scottie the dog on a short leash.
