New Bedford Parks, Recreation & Beaches has announced the return of a beloved event for this season. The kids of New Bedford can look forward to a daily event with the Play in the Park Program returning to the city this year.

Play in the Park provides free food and games for New Bedford kids ages 18 and under. This is a great opportunity for kids to be involved with their community, meet new friends, stay active, and most importantly, get a healthy meal that they might otherwise go without.

Starting on Thursday, June 24, families can gather at various local parks to participate in a free food service program. Lunch will be offered Monday through Friday from 11 am to 2 pm at select locations. Dinner will be served at Monte and Magnett Park on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4 to 7 pm.

New Bedford Parks, Recreation & Beaches will hold two kick-off events. The first will be at Magnett Park on Thursday, June 24 from 4 to 7 pm. The second will be at Riverside Park on Friday, June 25 from 11 am to 2 pm.
