It was quite the weekend at one restaurant in Plymouth.

The Tavern on the Wharf was packed, per usual, on Saturday morning. One very large group of 22 was taking up a lion's share of the dining room, but two servers were assigned to the party.

"They called a couple of weeks ago asking about servers that might be able to use the money," Madison Whittles, the restaurant's events and marketing director, said.

Whittles knew just which servers to pick for the assignment.

Two single moms who could really use the money work at the restaurant.

The group, known as the Wicked Smaht Zone, is a Facebook fan group for Peloton.  Each year, they surprise a restaurant with a big tip. Whittles wasn't sure why they chose Tavern on the Wharf, but she was happy that they did.

On a $500 breakfast bill, the party of 22 left a $4,600 tip. Not all of the people who contributed to the random tip were in the building. Some had transferred the tip money using Venmo.

The $4,600 was split up between the two servers.

"Both of them are single moms, they've both worked at the Tavern for quite some time and are both very dedicated employees," Whittles said. "They're there whether we're busy or not. Honestly, they're just two incredible people.

This is the second time within the last several months that the tavern's servers have been on the receiving end of a very generous tip that measured in the thousands.

Whittles says the group surprised a restaurant in Mendon last year.
